Genre Lighting Research and Analysis (Group Assignment)

Genre Lighting Research and Analysis (PowerPoint Group Assignment)

On February 9th, 2022, my group and I were given the task to analyze and document the source, direction, quality of the lighting used to support the overall connotations of our action genre, theme, tone and meaning of the two films we chose, which are Dr. Strange and Captain America: Civil War. My first teammate Dillon Wilson worked on direction, which included side lighting, back lighting, top lighting, front lighting and underlighting. My second teammate, Jonathan Spence, worked on the general information and synopsis of the films we chose and light color. My last teammate, Nicholas Davila, worked on the light source slides, which included natural lighting, practical lighting, and ambient lighting. Lastly, I worked on lighting set up, which included key lighting, fill lighting and back light, and the light quality slides.
