Production (Filming)

 Production/Filming

After my teammates and I finished the storyboard, script, and outline of what our film will be based on, we started filming at our high school, Piper. We would start by getting establishing shots of our school to show the setting our film, which may pertain to the place, time of day, and time period the film takes place. This is apart of ACT I, which are the first few opening images before the set up and introduction of the characters in the film. The first shot would be a static shot of the front of the school, where it clearly shows the name of the high school and the mascot of the school. In this case, it would be "Piper High School, Home Of The Bengals". Next, we would take an establishing shot outside from a low angle of a staircase that leads to the school auditorium. This is used to establish the school colors that define the school and to get another shot of outside the school, where the set up will take place. Lastly, a tracking shot would be filmed, where one of the characters named Nicholas Wilson in the film would meet up with the main characters of the film, Spencer James, at the staircase. This would start the shift from the opening images to the set up of the opening scene. These shots can all be seen below.

Next, we would film the set up scenes of the film. For this section of the opening scene, we introduce some of the characters that will be in the film such as Nicholas Wilson and Spencer James. Additionally, it gives an introduction to what the film will be about. To give a brief synopsis of the film, it is about a boy named Spencer James that gets set up by a shady friend named Nicholas Wilson who stole a valuable bag from a powerful entity and gave it to him at a high school. This gets him into trouble by one of the subordinates of the boss named Berry Doncic, who catches Spencer, knocks him out, and takes the bag back. After Spence realized he was set up by his shady friend, he wants answers from Nicholas, revenge against Berry, and wants to find out what's inside the bag that makes it so valuable. The scenes for the setup can be seen below.

Lastly, we would film the action scenes that would be in the opening intro of the film to hook our audience into it and make it more likely that they will watch on. These scenes would consist of one of the characters, Nicholas Wilson, meeting at a disclosed location at the school to give the valuable bag to Spencer James, the main character. It then leads to Spencer James getting sighted and chased by one of the subordinates of the boss Nicholas Wilson stole the bag from, Berry Doncic. This is the main sequence of action scenes in the opening images of the film that adds a hint of comedy to make it more interesting. Eventually, Spencer James would be cornered by Berry Doncic, a subordinate of the unknown boss Nicholas Wilson stole the valuable bag from, gets knocked out, and ends up in a nursing bed where he revaluates how Nicholas Wilson set him up. Moreover, he wants to get revenge against Berry Doncic and find out what is so valuable inside the bag. These scenes are depicted below.

Production Company Logo Design

Production Company Logo Design In the pre production phase of our movie "Caught Up", we had to come up with a production company logo design. The name of our production company is "Power Productions", which evokes a powerful and energetic feeling behind it. We discussed various ideas of what the logo would look like. At first, we came to the decision that the logo should be a lighting bolt that reflects the idea of "Power" in our company. Additionally, we thought that the logos primary colors should be yellow and black to reflect what the traditional color of a lighting bolt is. Consequently, we would go to a free website where you can design company logos and came up with the image shown below.  After a continued discussion of what the company logo should look like, we decided that the initial logo we created was too basic and did not fit into the film we were creating. As a result, we created an animated logo that represents the idea of "Power Prod...
